2 Mah Update:

Language Arts: Finished our juicy,  'Descriptive Monster Writing'(See Picture)














Read Stellaluna - Looked at some juicy descriptions in the story.

***List 4 spelling test this Fri, November 9th***

List 4 - Weather
 1. rain           5. Land
 2. sunny        6. warm
 3. water         7. cold
 4. snow         8. hot
***We had a special visit from little red riding hood on Halloween Day(AKA Ms. Briggs) who read us her favorite Halloween story through song.










Math: Counting forward and backwards using a number line. 
Science: Absorbency tests - exploring which materials absorb water quickly.

  • Juice or Popsicle's activity - exploring characteristics of juice both liquid and solid.  It was a very refreshing activity as students got to taste both liquid and solid forms of juice.  Yummy!
***Discovering Liquids quiz on Wednesday, Nov 7th. *** See study guide that went home.  Students should review their science notebooks and finish any incomplete work.

Religion: How I can help my different families?  Student wrote sentences about their home, classroom and parish families. 
  • Buddy visit:  Our grade 6 buddies came to visit us.  Grade 2 students read their 'Descriptive Monster' paragraphs and the grade 6's drew a monster based off of their descriptive sentences.  Good job grade 2's!!!












  • Grade 2's will be reading prayer over the intercom Nov 12-16th.  Please practice reading the prayers at home. They will go home this week and a note will be in the agenda if they are reading.
Art: Finished our haunted houses.  Welcome to Spookyville!!!

Nov 8th: Library(Please send library books for this day so students can get new ones)
