2M Update:

Language Arts: Calendar/Wonderful Words - practiced List 4 - copy out, ABC order, sentences

and spelling test.

  • Outrageous October scrapbook writing
  • Journal writing: Halloween
  • Remembrance Day brainstorming words/writing: Students worked hard on acrostic poems(See Picture)
  • In Flanders Field poem - read/rhyming patterns/discussion
  • Read 'A Poppy is to Remember'

List 5 spelling test Friday, Nov 16th.

List 5: Numbers

1.  zero        7.  six
2.  one         8.  seven
3.  two         9   eight
4.  three      10.  nine
5.  four        11.  ten
6.  five

Math: Numbers Unit: Counting by 2's, 5's and 10's.
  • Finding the missing numbers in a pattern - using student made number lines and 100's chart.
Social: Learning about Canada
Science: Discovering Liquids review/quiz - they will go home Monday.  Please review/sign and return.
Health: Hand washing Lesson/video and worksheet - putting the steps in order.
Religion: Apostles Creed 
  • Read the Parable of the Mustard Seed - Learning how something small/someone can make a big difference.
***2M is reading prayer this week over the intercom.  Please practice if your child brought their prayer home.***

Computers: Raz kids and Zorbit - students should all have their passwords and can practice at home.

***This week math and social booklets came home.  When we finish a unit I will send it home and it does not need to be returned.***
Art: Tissue paper poppy art and Dove mixed media art.(See Picture)












Upcoming:
Nov 12th: Remembrance day Liturgy @ 10:45(parents are welcome)
Nov 13th: Australian Football clinic during gym class.
Nov 14th: Wear blue for Diabetic Awareness Day.
