Language Arts: List 14 practice/Wonderful words/spelling test

• Literacy Centres
• Homonyms and Antomnyms lesson
• Scrapbook Writing - Fantastic February

• Learning about Expository Writing - writing to inform.  We looked at 2 samples of writing describing different kinds of houses and learned why one piece was better than the other.  Learning about: Paragraphs to separate our main ideas/introductions and topic sentences/conclusions.

Math: Solving subtraction problems with missing parts. Learning to solve using addition as our strategy.

• Math fact daily practice - Adding using o, 1 and 2's.

Science: New Unit - Buoyancy - learning about the new words buoyancy, float and sink.

• Sinking or Floating activity - predicting and observing what floats and sinks.

Social: Completing rough copies of our travel brochures.

Religion: Learning about the 7 sacraments - matching activity.

Health:  Ryan Laird presentation - 'Bigger Than That' - learning about believing in yourself, being positive and working hard to achieve our goals.

Gym: Basketball - scrimmaging/rules
