Language Arts: Polar Express book study: New vocabulary, sequencing activity, beginning middle and end writing and journal writing.
Today we had our, Polar Express Day. Students went on a magical journey on the Polar Express and enjoyed some hot chocolate and popcorn in their pajamas.
Students got a special delivery today from the North pole. Please ask you children about the gift and letter they received.
Math: Ten's and one's using manipulative s/Counting tens and ones using money(dimes and nickels)
- Number detectives - using clues/before/after/least/greatest to find numbers
Science: Magnets Unit - exploring magnets and what is magnetic.
Social: Learning about Iqaluit, Meteghan and Saskatoon - how far/distance/what to pack when visiting.
Religion: The story of Peter/Advent/The Christmas Story - We will be having our 2nd BFG on Friday. Students will travel throughout the school quietly observing the different Nativities in each class.
Art: Winter Landscapes - pen and ink and water colours.
